Along its nearly 2400 miles of cove-studded shoreline are many boat docks and resorts, 4 state parks, the Tennessee National Wildlife refuge, 48 public access areas, 2 county parks, 5 municipal parks, 2 state wildlife management areas, 10 group camps and clubs, 92 commercial recreation areas, and 3 small wildlife areas.

From Paducah, Kentucky:
Take I-24 East to Exit 25A and merge onto JULIAN M CARROLL PURCHASE PKWY towards FULTON. Travel approximately 4.4 miles to Exit 47 towards KENLAKE STATE PARK/KENTUCKY LAKE RECREATION AREA. Turn Left at the stop light onto US Hwy 68 East. Travel approximately 11.5 miles and turn left at the Marvel Golf Club entrance sign.

From Evansville, Indiana:
Take US-41 South into Kentucky. US-41 becomes PENNYRILE PKWY South. Travel approximately 43 miles to Exit 34B and take the WK PKWY West towards PADUCAH. Merge onto the WENDELL H FORD KENTUCKY PKWY West. Travel for approximately 38 miles and merge onto I-24 West at Exit 1B towards PURCHASE PKWY / PADUCAH. Travel approximately 17 miles and merge onto JULIAN M CARROLL PURCHASE PARKWAY on Exit 25A towards FULTON. Travel approximately 4.4 miles to Exit 47 towards KENLAKE STATE PARK/KENTUCKY LAKE RECREATION AREA. Turn Left at the stop light onto US Hwy 68 East. Travel approximately 11.5 miles and turn left at the Marvel Golf Club entrance sign.

From Louisville, Kentucky:
Take I-65 South towards NASHVILLE for approximately 44 miles. Take the WK PARKWAY WEST at Exit 91 towards OWENSBORO / PADUCAH. Merge onto WENDELL H FORD WESTERN KENTUCKY PKWY W and travel for approximately 136 miles. Merge onto I-24 West at Exit 1B towards PURCHASE PKWY / PADUCAH. Travel approximately 17 miles and merge onto JULIAN M CARROLL PURCHASE PARKWAY on Exit 25A towards FULTON. From Nashville, Tennessee:
Take I-65 North via Exit 208 towards Louisville. Merge onto I-24 W / I-65 N at Exit 86A on the left towards CLARKSVILLE / LOUISVILLE. Keep left and take I-24 W at Exit 88B towards CLARKSVILLE, this will take into Kentucky. Travel approximately 73 miles and take the US-68 / KY 80 exit at Exit 65 towards HOPKINSVILLE / CADIZ. Turn left onto US-68. Turn right to stay on HOPKINSVILLE RD for approximately 18 miles. Turn right on US-68 and travel for approximately 8 miles. Keep right at the fork to go on US-68 / E US-68 and travel for approximately 5 miles. Turn right at the Marvel Golf Club entrance sign.
